Splatcam
Film any object or room and get a photoreal 3D Gaussian splat you can orbit and share.
Record a guided video and Splatcam uploads it to your own GPU server, which turns it into a 3D Gaussian splat. The app downloads the result and renders it live on the phone, so you can orbit it, zoom in and share it.
- Platforms
- Android, iOS, Linux GPU server
- Version
- 1.0.0
- Built with
- Flutter, Python, COLMAP / GLOMAP, gsplat, ffmpeg, Docker / CUDA

What it does
- Guided capture for objects and rooms, with framing guides and a pacing dot for a 40-second orbit
- Processing screen shows the server's real stages: upload, pick frames, solve cameras, train, export
- Viewer: drag to orbit, pinch to zoom, two-finger pan and a turntable mode
- Share the .splat file or the current view as an image
How it’s built
- Custom renderer: a worker isolate projects each Gaussian with the EWA Jacobian from the 3DGS paper and depth-sorts them with a 16-bit counting sort, then Canvas.drawRawAtlas draws them
- Level of detail draws the 150,000 most important splats while the camera moves
- Backend picks the sharpest frames, solves camera poses with COLMAP, trains with gsplat and exports .splat and .ply files; 47 tests across app and server
