Auto Frame
Auto Frame has no account, no server, no ads and no analytics, and your photos and videos never leave your phone. Face tracking for framing happens on the phone.
What the app stores
The photos and videos you take or import, your edits and any LUT files you import, in the app's private storage.
Photos taken in Photo mode, and anything you export, are also saved to an "Auto Frame" album in your gallery.
Camera and microphone
The camera is used to take photos and videos. The microphone records sound with videos; Android asks for it when the camera opens.
The motion sensor drives the horizon level and isn't saved.
On-device analysis
To help you frame shots, Auto Frame finds faces in the live preview. After you take a photo, it looks for faces, objects and people to suggest crops and blur the background.
All of this runs on your phone using Google's ML Kit. It only finds where faces are; it doesn't recognise who anyone is, and nothing is saved besides your photo and edits.
ML Kit may send Google anonymous statistics about how these features perform. It never sends your photos.
Sharing
Auto Frame doesn't share, sell or upload your photos or data.
Deleting your data
"Delete from Auto Frame" removes the app's copy. Copies in your gallery are deleted in your Photos or Gallery app. Uninstalling the app deletes everything else it stored.
Children
Auto Frame isn't aimed at children.
Phone backups
If you've turned on backup to your Google account in Android's settings, Android may include Auto Frame's saved data in that backup. The backup belongs to your Google account and isn't sent to me.
Changes to this policy
If the app starts handling data differently, this page will be updated before that version is released, and the date above will change.
