Tizaz

Diners

You don't need an account. Your browser keeps a random ID, your cart and your recent orders.

When you order, the items, your notes and, for takeaway, the name you give are sent to the restaurant's Tizaz system. Notes may include things like allergies, so only write what the restaurant needs.

Other diners in the same open table session can see the table's orders, including names and notes.

Orders are kept as part of the restaurant's records.

Staff

Staff accounts are created by the restaurant's owner or manager. Tizaz stores your name, email or phone number, role and workplace, and colleagues at the same restaurant can see the staff list.

Signing in with your phone number sends you a code by SMS. The app records which staff member took each order and payment.

Payments

Tizaz records cash payments and tips. It doesn't take card or mobile-money payments today.

Where data is kept

Orders, payments and staff accounts are stored on Tizaz's server, which runs on Supabase. Menu photos come from the same server. No other services are used.

The Android staff app needs only the internet permission.

Sharing

Tizaz doesn't sell data or share it with anyone other than the restaurant it belongs to.

Deleting your data

Diners: clearing your browser's data for the site removes your ID and cart. To have an order removed, ask the restaurant, or email me.

Staff: your owner or manager can remove your account, or you can email me.

Children

Tizaz isn't aimed at children.

Phone backups

If you've turned on backup to your Google account in Android's settings, Android may include Tizaz's saved data in that backup. The backup belongs to your Google account and isn't sent to me.

Changes to this policy

If the app starts handling data differently, this page will be updated before that version is released, and the date above will change.
