Waterly
Waterly has no account, no server, no ads and no analytics, and it can't connect to the internet. What you drink is recorded only on your phone.
What the app stores
Each drink you log (amount and time), your daily goal and your reminder settings. Past days are kept so the app can show your week and your streak.
The water animation follows your phone's motion sensor. Those readings are used live and never saved.
Permissions
Notifications: for drink reminders, which are off until you turn them on.
Starting after a restart: to keep reminders scheduled.
A short foreground task: to animate the home-screen widget for a few seconds after you tap it.
Sharing
Waterly doesn't share, sell or send any data to anyone.
Deleting your data
Swipe away a drink to remove it from today. There isn't an in-app way to clear older days; uninstalling the app, or clearing its storage in Android settings, deletes everything.
Children
Waterly is fine for everyone and collects nothing from anyone.
Phone backups
If you've turned on backup to your Google account in Android's settings, Android may include Waterly's saved data in that backup. The backup belongs to your Google account and isn't sent to me.
Changes to this policy
If the app starts handling data differently, this page will be updated before that version is released, and the date above will change.
