Seismograph
Your phone as a seismograph while it charges overnight.
While your phone charges on the nightstand, Seismograph listens to the accelerometer for earthquake-like shaking. Phones across the city report what they feel, and a Cloud Function confirms a tremor when enough of them feel it at the same moment.

Try it
Seismograph listens to the accelerometer from a background service on Android, which a browser can't run.

What it does
- Listens overnight while charging, so it costs no battery
- Crowd-confirmed tremors from phones across the city
- Reports when the background is too noisy instead of guessing
How it’s built
- The same STA/LTA trigger seismic networks use, on band-passed 50 Hz accelerometer data
- Rejects knocks, footsteps and handling, and restarts if the phone is tilted
- Locations rounded to about 1 km before anything is shared
