Mezgeb
Mezgeb has no account, no login, no server, no ads and no analytics. Your books and reading data stay on your phone. Its only internet use is loading the public pages of Telegram channels you follow.
What the app stores
The books you import (EPUB and PDF), copied into the app's private storage on your phone.
Your reading progress, shelves, daily goal, streak and settings.
The list of Telegram channels you follow.
Files and folders
Mezgeb only sees the files and folders you pick with Android's file picker, such as Downloads or Download › Telegram. It doesn't scan the rest of your phone.
Telegram channels
For channels you follow, Mezgeb loads their public web pages from t.me, and the pictures on them from Telegram, the same pages anyone can open in a browser without logging in. Telegram receives that request like any website visit, including your IP address. Mezgeb doesn't log in to Telegram and never sees your Telegram account or messages.
Opening a post or channel in Telegram hands the link to the Telegram app or your browser.
Sharing
Mezgeb doesn't share, sell or send your data to anyone.
Deleting your data
Remove a book or channel in the app. Uninstalling the app, or clearing its storage in Android settings, deletes everything it stored. The original files you imported stay where they were.
Children
The app isn't aimed at children and collects nothing from anyone. Channels you follow are public Telegram channels, chosen by you.
Phone backups
If you've turned on backup to your Google account in Android's settings, Android may include Mezgeb's saved data in that backup. The backup belongs to your Google account and isn't sent to me.
Changes to this policy
If the app starts handling data differently, this page will be updated before that version is released, and the date above will change.
Contact
